NAYSS Good Practice Forum (May 2008)
|
The 2008 NAYSS Good Practice Forum was held on 1 and 2 May in Surry Hills, Sydney. Incorporating pertinent themes identified by NAYSS workers the program intended to harbor a platform for sharing experience whilst incorporating an 'Action Research' discourse as a means of Good Practice.
The Forum flavor consisted of a tailored 'open space' framework propelled by a NAYSS 'service led' approach. This framework encouraged inter service dialogue whilst service presentations provided participants with insights into the practice of NAYSS services nationwide.
The themes presented during the 1.5 day forum included: action research; transitions from IEC’s (ELS) to mainstream education; access to housing; access to sport; racism and discrimination; and working within the family context.
Below are links to some service presentations, the forum report and resources that may be of interest. Please do not hesitate to contact the lead provider if you believe there are any other resources arising from this years forum that could be posted here.
